The coati: The coati resembles a raccoon and is, in fact, related to the raccoon. Unlike its nocturnal cousin, the coati likes to have fun in the sun. It enjoys eating, so you'll most often see it munching on insects, fruit, rodents, lizards, or tiny snakes. Wherever they live, coatis play an important mid-level role in food chains.
