While we all know our homeland the best and have explored some other places while traveling, a larger part of the planet is still left unknown to most of us. Therefore, photography here comes to assistance. Supreet Sahoo, a tropical wildlife photographer from India, visited Peru, the country of one of the New Seven Wonders of the World, Machu Picchu, the Amazon rainforest, and the Inca Trail.
Silver-Backed Tanager: Compact tanager of mid-elevation montane forest. Males are black with lighter blue upperparts and flanks, darker blue wings, and an orange patch that extends through the throat and cheek; females are green with a dull orange head. Often forages in pairs with mixed-species flocks, preferring forest edges. Relatively vocal for a tanager, and often noticed through its long, high-pitched buzzy song.
