Golden Lion Tamarin Twins Born At Atlanta Zoo: 'Two Especially Important Births'

Atlanta Zoo has been doubly blessed this week with the birth of Golden Lion Tamarin Twins! The Zoo recently announced that the endangered Golden Lion Tamarins, Blixx and Tiete, have birthed twins in February.

As numbers are declining, wild Golden Lion Tamarins may have to depend on zoo's to protect the species from extinction yet again. Both twins seem like they are up the task, thanks to the expert parenting of Blixx and Niete. Animal lovers have a chance of spotting the family at the Atlanta Zoo – specifically in the KIDZone Area.
