The golden-crowned tanager is a species of bird in the Thraupidae family. It's native to Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, and Venezuela. These birds feed mainly on seeds, fruits, nectar, flower parts. As an omnivorous species, they also seek insects for food. They distribute on opposite sides of the Marañon Valley in Peru. They are commonly found in subtropical and or tropical moist montane forests.
