RSPCA and Police Remove 90 Horses from Worcestershire Farm Amid Welfare Concerns

 Around 90 horses have been removed from a farm in Worcestershire by the RSPCA and West Mercia Police following concerns about animal welfare.

Major Welfare Operation in Bewdley: 90 Horses Rescued

The joint operation took place at a location off Northwood Lane, Bewdley, on Wednesday, March 19. While the exact address was not disclosed, local residents reported seeing multiple vehicles and horse boxes arriving at the site.

An RSPCA spokesperson confirmed their collaboration with police and several equine charities in the operation. "A number of horses and two dogs were removed," they stated. "As this remains an active investigation, we cannot release further details at this time."

West Mercia Police later confirmed the removal of approximately 90 horses from the property. Authorities also clarified that no arrests were made during the operation.

"The call came in due to concerns for animal welfare," said a police representative. "We assisted the RSPCA in removing the horses, and the operation is ongoing."

This incident has raised concerns among local residents and animal welfare advocates about the treatment of horses and other animals in the region.
